PCOS Guideline
This International evidence-based guideline for the assessment and management of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is designed to provide clear information to assist shared decision-making and support optimal patient care and better health outcomes for the one in eight women affected by this condition.
It is the culmination of the engagement of over 3,000 health professionals and the work of 100+ multidisciplinary clinical and lived experience experts from six continents and 71 countries internationally.
We acknowledge the enthusiasm and engagement of the health professionals and women affected by PCOS, our partners the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Endocrine Society, European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and European Endocrine Society and our 35 collaborating and engaged professional societies and consumer advocacy and support organisations internationally. We also acknowledge the input of our early career Network, who collated the ~6000 pages of evidence informing the guideline.
These stakeholders have guided scope, identification of gaps and needs, prioritisation of clinical questions and outcomes of importance, review of evidence, formulations of recommendations and the guideline, and are leading the implementation of the extensive dissemination and translation program.
